Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Image
Hey y'all! So pretty much I wrote 4 sentences of this on my pday on Christmas and then it was never finished so we're gonna do a little catch up today. It might be a long one so bear with me. I'm also gonna be talking about our friends as well because they are amazing! First off, Christmas was amazing and the members here took such good care of us. We also had tornadoes and flash floods around the town so that was cool. Especially when our radio alarm woke us up about 10 times one night 😃 But no worries we are safe! Just had some crazy thunderstorms and some streets were turned into rivers. I LOVE Theodore and could be here my entire mission. Our district has 20 people on date which is CRAZY. This place is so blessed. I'm going to give a quick rundown of our friends this week and a half! We put 3 people on date for baptism this week! One is a 15 year old named Allison and her and her 7 year old brother (almost 8) are being baptized on February 8th! I was on exchanges w...

THEO PART 2!!! AND TWO MONTHSSS

What's upppp, another week and another month down! It's crazy that I'm 2 months into this. It's going by so fast. This week was crazy. We had transfers and Sister Hunt and I are staying together!!!! We are so hyped about that! Monday we went out to lunch as a district and had a really yummy burger. We also went to a merch store and did our weekly planning. Tuesday was transfers. Would not recommend that. They read every area and announced it and it felt like we were being drafted. I was shaking but all was well! 🙏  Gilly took us to place called Dick Russels for lunch. It serves southern food and it was pretty good but I get full so fast and then I still have to eat. Gonna work on slowly eating at member meals so I don't perish. Gilly is so awesome tho. He is our BFF and we love him. He goes to lessons with us and it's awesome. The next day he also took us to get Sushi. It was sooo good. I missed Sushi. It was so fun. We taught two of the kids we are teaching an...

Mob Town 🔥

What's up y'all!! Another week down. This was the fastest week of my life. Let's get into it. On Pday we went down to the city and went to a restaurant called Dauphins. It's on the 34th floor of a skyscraper and had some fancy food but wasn't too expensive. It was a vibe. Then Sister Hunt and I explored the city and saw so much cute Christmas stuff! It was a sweet town.  "Heyo! My name is Elder Ostler and Sister  Harmon said I can say something in her email. Theodore Alabama is so blessed! Sister Harmon and her trainer Sister Hunt are actually killing it! If anyone doubted Sister Harmon, she is proving you wrong! Anyway! I hope yall have an amazing day!" -Elder Ostler! Elphaba and Glinda vibes. And of course we got some hot chocolate cause it's cold here. Even tho it's 50⁰ the humidity makes it so cold.  We only take one trip around here. Just walking around in the rain. This day was sad because so many people canceled on lessons but that's oka...

In Da Hood Again

What's up ladies and gentlemen. This week went by so fast but also what we did on Monday feels like ages ago. Time isn't real on the mission. Let's get into it! On Monday we went to Dauphin Island which was SO fun! We got to hang out on the beach with the district and it was so fire. Really made me want to swim in the ocean tho. Tuesday was such a busy day. We moved, had district council, and had exchanges. But our new apartment is sooo nice. We are hoping we didn't bring too many cockroaches with us. But we have our own bathrooms now and another room! Feeling real blessed 🙌🏼 Elder Ostler and Elder Mouser. We ward share with them and it's a party for sure. They got these sweet sweaters and matched with each other! Exchanges were good, I learned a lot and there was a lot of success. We met a part member family though and their son wants to be taught and get baptized! It's so exciting! Cried tears of joy when I was reunited with Sister Hunt tho. 🙏  Thanksgiving...
