ABM!! (America's Best Mission)
Hey everyone! I'm finally in Alabama! It's been a crazy week and a half. So busy and a lot of traveling! Let's go back a little bit. So for Halloween the sisters in our district dressed up as elders which was embarrassing cause the fit I had was too close to the real deal.
SQUAD
District 1K
We got to go to the temple twice during our last week at the MTC and that was such a good time!
We had the last day of classes and said bye to my favorite teacher Sis. McMahon
Most of the MTC district. They're lit.
Here's what I ate pretty much the whole time at the mtc. So so thankful I can have homemade food now 🙌 Sadly at the end of the MTC a cold was going around and I started getting that. But I'm thankfully better now!!
Traveling was such a long day and things kept going wrong but we made it. The first day we were picked up and went to the mission home and had dinner. It was a long but good day. We stayed in a hotel and the next day we had transfers!!!!
Last night with my queen
Alabama:
President and Sister Chibota and my trainer Sister Hunt!!
Transfers were fun! We had a long training and then we got sent to the Theodore area. It’s the very bottom of our mission so we drove for 4 ½ hours. It was such a fun time! There are soon many trees here and it feels like another country sometimes. We had a lesson right when we arrived and it went pretty good.
Some roads look like we are in Mexico or a jungle.
We love to get Dr. Peppers at Circle K.
We had a dinner with a new member named Gilly. He is so sweet and took us to a nice steakhouse which was a blessing having that as my first meal since the MTC.
We have soon much fun! I can't even tell you how many times we have cried from laughing so hard. Missions are fun and that's something I didn't expect when I came out but we do the work and we laugh while doing it. She is so good at training and I am so much less stressed than I expected I would be. God is so good and so aware.
It gets pitch black at about 5:15 so that's crazy. I get so tired when it is dark but we carry on.
We have yummy cockroaches everywhere and it's fun cause you never know where they will be!
Anyways this has been all over the place but life is good! I love Alabama and the people already. Missions are awesome! If you are thinking about going on one, do it!! I feel like I didn't actually mention any missionary work just what we have been up to so here's a quick recap. We have two people on date! One friend is named Ember and she is 11 and gets baptized in a few weeks and then we have a friend named Janet on date for December! The work is so good here and there are so many people we are teaching. This is “the promised land” as my trainer says and I can already see that's true. I have seen the lords hand in my life and seen how he has already blessed me. Never forget we are all God's favorite and he loves us so much!!
Here's a talk I recommend you all read it's so so good!
