Ashlyn's Mission Memories

What's upppp. Okay this week was crazy. So on Monday we got a call from the AP's and they told me I would be training. I was so hyped not gonna lie. I just had a feeling it was going to be good and felt so excited to meet my new companion. On Tuesday we had the transfer call and I found out I would be opening an area in Monte Sano. It is near Huntsville and has "mountains" they lowkey just hills. It looks like Hawaii here tho and the ward is awesome and I love it. The transfer call was crazy and so many people got moved.  Then on Wednesday I said bye to some people. There are some awesome people there but I was feeling so ready for change.  Sister Slater I love her she's precious. And the Blanton's. Oh they are just my favorites. They brought me a lot of joy that I needed this transfer.  Then transfer day!! This week was pretty good. We had 5 of our Haitian friends come to church!! They drove 40 minutes to get there!! We put 2 people on baptismal date and we had a lot of good lessons. We have been finding a lot and that has been helpful! Our new mission president is changing a lot of things and it is so good! We now can use our apartment gyms and we are all going on a 3 week social media fast. This next week is transfers and I'm so scared haha. I am curious to see what he will do and if he switches things up.  We had exchanges this week and I got to see my best friend Sister Ady!! ❤️👯🏼‍♀️ Yayayayay!! I love her and it brought me so much joy. I am so lucky with the friends God has blessed me with from serving a mission. I've met some lifelong friends. Sister Ady is leaving so it was our last exchange ever. Next time we are together we will be partying it up in good ole Utah. Okay it's been a while since I've written one of these. My bad. Lots has happened tho! We had zone conference and got a new mission president!! Oh my I love them so much. They are an answer to all of my prayers with the revelation they have for this mission already. They are SO FUN!!! We had a meet and greet with them and it was awesome. They are young and so cool. So that's pretty exciting. Zone conference was good. We said bye to the Chibota's which was sad. We will miss them too!  Lowkey these past weeks have been pretty hard but I've learned to rely on Heavenly Father more than I ever have. I had only Him to pray and talk to and sometimes I would just sit there with Him and I could feel that I was loved. Some days I didn't know how I could get through the long day but I prayed in my head and I know He gives us strength. I also appreciate every one of you who sends prayers to missionaries. Okay not much from this week. We had a crazy miracle!! We found where all of the Haitian people are!! They are in a town 40 minutes away but we still found them yay!!!! Not much else this week but it's good I'm getting used to this area a little more! Found a sales bro from Tooele UT lol.   Lots of turtles and geese I love y'all have the best week! 

Hi y'all! Okay I wrote this whole thing already and it deleted so we will see how much I write again lol. This week was transfers and I got a new companion named Sister Johnson. It was sad to have Sister McComas leave. We had just gotten comfortable hahah.  This week we had 4 people come to church!! One was our friend Sam who is going to be baptized next month. He got a car so he can come now! Then we had Peter who came for the 4th time. And we had two Haitian Croele friends come!! Low-key stressfull cause I don't know how to speak well. Bit a successful Sunday overall!!  We met lots of cool people this week and knocked some doors. I haven't knocked doors in a while but I had a prompting to and we met a cool lady who wants to learn and come to church! Hey y'all. Another week and month down. Crazy that it's already June!!! This week we had to say goodbye to one of our favorite families The Pack's. They are literally the best. They would feed us all the time and just were like a second family here. We all got to have dinner at a members house though and she also made all of the missionaries their favorite food and treat for celebrating birthdays. It was so much work for her and so thoughtful.  My favorites ever!!! A member also has us over for dinner sometimes and she gave me a Dr pepper with lime and creamer in it. I had literally talked to my brother about there being no soda shops here on Monday and she then gave me it. #blessed 🙏 Turns out fog here is just water lol. It was so humid one morning. What's up y'all! This week as the title says we did lots of service. We ended up having service every day which is awesome! It makes it go by so fast. We have a friend named Peter who came to church last week and he came again! We haven't even met with him since we met him because he has a crazy schedule. We also had a lesson with a few kids in this trailer park. They are so sweet and have such a cute testimony of Jesus Christ. We are hoping to get the parents in on them too. We had service for a member and it was probably the grossest thing I've experienced lol. Touched some things that were pretty disgusting. But it helped her so much and made for good memories lol. We also did lots of service for our favorite members who are moving the Pack's. It's sooo sad. We are gonna miss them so much.
